The opportunity
Assist as a chair-side assistant and on the move.
Prepare patients for dental treatment by ensuring their comfort.
Hand instruments over to the dentist or dental hygienist during procedures.
Use vacuum to keep the area dry during work.
Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment.
Set up and organize operating rooms and equipment.
Provide post-operative care instructions to patients.
Participate in the manufacture of dental appliances, such as whitening trays or mouth guards.
Ensure that dental supplies and equipment are well stocked and in good working order.
Monitor patients' comfort during procedures and reassure them if necessary.
Work closely with the dentist, dental hygienists and office staff to ensure a smooth workflow.
Follow strict infection control procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and staff.
What you bring :
A diploma from an accredited dental assisting program is preferred.
Dental assistant certification (such as CDA I/II or equivalent) and HARP certification are a plus, but not mandatory.
Current CPR and first aid certification (or willingness to obtain it).
Previous experience as a dental assistant is preferred, but not mandatory. We look forward to training the ideal candidate.
